In Touch, branches arching over the water and vegetation along the bank frame a bright, open space. The rhythm of the slender branches is echoed by freely flowing green foliage and horizontal washes across the water.
The title refers to this quiet exchange: branches, leaves and water take different forms, yet remain connected within the same landscape. Transparent layers of watercolour and areas of untouched white paper bring light and a sense of spaciousness to the composition.
The painting belongs to A Rocking Silence, a series created beside the Holt-Körös, an oxbow lake in Hungary. It preserves the slower pace and attentive stillness of the waterside, where even the smallest movements and connections within the landscape become noticeable.
